  36. I'm going to deviate from the true believer camp here and agree with you that
  37. before invoking any alien interplanetary intervention other Earthly phenomena
  38. should be explored.  In the case of temporal lobe epilepsy and sleep
  39. paralysis, I think the exploration has lead to irreconcilable contradictions
  40. which should qualify them for rejection from the list of possible explanations.

  47. Yes and no on the mind control stuff.  Yes it goes on, MK-ULTRA may never have
  48. died, but no I don't think it implies abything about the government's
  49. competence or lack thereof.  Keep in mind that "government" is a huge umbrella
  50. term and to throw it around in the context of highly compartmentalized
  51. information is not correct usage of the word.  It's like a set of nesting
  52. Chinese boxes where different groups are a part of the whole but don't
  53. necessarily share their motives and goals with the rest.  It also gets smaller
  54. the further in you go.
